Preschool Curriculum Academics
Our program provides learning opportunities in:
Language – Our curriculum exposes children to award winning children's literature. Language lessons focus on developing basic skills necessary for reading. Listening skills, rhyming, finger plays, in addition to letter and sound recognition, are a part of our language program.
Math - Matching, sorting, counting, number recognition, simple addition and subtraction, patterning and shapes are woven into literature, science, art and dramatic play for maximum absorption of math concepts.
Science – Investigation stations with critters such as lady bugs, butterflies and other insects give children the opportunity to participate in monthly, hands on science projects where they are able to investigate and manipulate the world around them.
Social Education – In addition to social and character education, children are provided with daily lessons in identifying and regulating emotions.
Art – Our curriculum provides daily opportunities to participate in creative expression as well as fun holiday arts and crafts projects.
Daily transition activities are also provided to facilitate a smooth transition between activities.
